Sherborn Water Commission Approves MEPA Support Letter for Two Housing Developments

SHERBORN — October 28, 2025 — Sherborn Water Commission unanimously backs MEPA interbasin transfer request for two housing developments. The commission voted at its October 28 meeting to send a letter of support to Secretary Tepper on behalf of Coolidge Crossing and Meadowbrook Commons, two proposed multifamily and affordable housing developments on Coolidge Street that need water and sewer connections from neighboring municipalities to proceed. The letter, drafted by commissioner Meredith, notes that Sherborn — with a population density of just 0.4 people per acre and no pressurized fire hydrants anywhere in town — would gain MWRA-connected water, sewer capacity, and its first fire hydrant infrastructure through the projects. The submission deadline is November 7. The commission also discussed replacing its appointee to the North Sherborn Water and Sewer District, with Josh Gould — a 20-year excavation and septic professional and former Harvard Water Commission member — identified as the leading candidate for a formal vote tentatively set for November 18.
