Sherborn Select Board Approves New Contract for Town Administrator Monast

SHERBORN — October 23, 2025 — Sherborn Select Board ratifies town administrator's contract and advances Laurel Field irrigation funding on a 3-0-2 vote. The board unanimously approved a new three-year employment agreement with Town Administrator Jeremy Monast, running through November 28, 2028, with a salary increase described as matching market rates. By a 3-0-2 vote — with Dan Sichel and Jeffrey Waldron abstaining to await Finance Committee input — the board approved an additional $132,600 from the recreation revolving fund beyond its $150,000 fiscal year 2026 spending limit to complete the long-running Laurel Field irrigation project, which has grown from a $350,000 ARPA allocation to an estimated total cost of roughly $575,000. The board also unanimously approved license agreements for an electric transformer and utility pole at the site, with the town having already issued a $90,000 payment to Eversource for power connection. Town Moderator Michael Giamo consulted with the board on five proposed governance task force appointments — Mike Winters, Brian Connolly, Vicki Relis, Eric Johnson, and Dhruv Kashal — to begin a nine-month review reporting to the 2027 town meeting.
