Sherborn Planning Board Advances Farm Road ANR, Votes to Support FY27 Budget

Planning Board · Meeting of January 6, 2026

Sherborn Planning Board kicks off 2026 with Farm Road pre-submission review and stormwater bylaw progress. At the January 6 meeting, Co-Chair James T. Guarino and the board heard from developer Bob, who outlined a plan to add one estate-lot home on a roughly nine-and-a-half-acre rear parcel at Farm Road, contingent on a new ANR endorsement and a special permit for a common driveway serving three lots.

Town Planner Heidi Doyle said the frontage arrangement "could meet the criteria for access on each lot" but agreed at Co-Chair Stefani Harrison's request to seek a town counsel opinion before the formal ANR hearing, expected February 3. The board also worked through a near-final stormwater management bylaw draft prepared over the holiday break by a five-person subcommittee, targeting a public hearing on the warrant article for February 10 ahead of the Select Board's January 22 warrant closing. The board voted unanimously to support the FY27 Planning Department operating budget of $5,500, up $150 from the prior year.
