Sherborn Planning Board Co-Chair Will Not Seek Re-Election, Plans Move From Town

Sherborn Planning Board Co-Chair Frank Hookham announced he will not seek re-election, citing a planned move to New York state to be closer to family. Hookham, who called achieving the co-chair role a personal goal after 30 years in Sherborn, said his house will likely go on the market within a year and that the decision "has nothing to do with the joy of working on this board." The board also voted to reappoint Vice Chair Robert Wolff as its representative to the Land Acquisition Committee, a seat that had expired in June 2025, and separately learned that longtime Land Acquisition Committee Chairman Frank Jenkins had died the previous day. Town Planner Heidi Doyle reported that a public hearing on a proposed stormwater management bylaw is set for February 10, with two items still unresolved in the draft and town counsel review ongoing.

Zoning housekeeping warrant language, including a new special-permit accessory dwelling unit category tied to the state Subsidized Housing Inventory, remains contingent on town counsel and additional town official review before the May annual town meeting.
