Sherborn Board Approves $672,551 Regional School Roof Share, New Legal and Stormwater Policies

SHERBORN — March 12, 2026 — Sherborn Select Board unanimously approves $672,551 regional school roof share and adopts new town counsel access policy. At the March 12 meeting, the board voted to execute an intergovernmental agreement for a $1.58 million fluid-applied membrane roof restoration at Dover-Sherborn Regional High School — well below the anticipated $2 million cost — with Sherborn's share funded through exempt borrowing. Town Counsel Steven Legasey urged adoption of a new legal access policy that channels all counsel requests through Town Administrator Jeremy Marsette, saying without it board members had asked him to simultaneously file ethics complaints against one another: "I don't want to be weaponized for one person to be using my skills to kill someone else." The board also unanimously backed an updated stormwater bylaw — supported by the Planning Board 5-0 — that creates a new half-acre to one-acre disturbance permit tier and extends coverage town-wide to address phosphorus runoff into the Charles River watershed.
