Dover Select Board unanimously fills police vacancy, seats student on tree panel

SHERBORN — March 5, 2026 — Dover's Select Board approved six unanimous measures at its March 5 meeting, including a new police hire and a student committee appointment. The three-member board — Chair Robin Hunter, Dave Haviland, and Cam Hudson — voted 3-0 to approve a 30 percent stock transfer at Dover Wine Company, with Nirav joining owner Krishana Patel under a filing to the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. The board also appointed Andrew Grenier as a full-time Dover Police Officer, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Sergeant Todd Wilcox and the promotion of Sergeant Jeff Lynch; Police Chief Vinci recommended Grenier, who previously served at the Dean College Police Department in Franklin. Josie Danielski, a Dover-Sherborn High School sophomore, was seated on the Tree Preservation Committee after the board waived the town's registered voter requirement for her specific appointment — a designated youth seat the committee created at its founding.
