Sherborn Planning Board Advances Three-Tier Stormwater Bylaw for 2026 Town Meeting
Sherborn Planning Board moves three-tier stormwater framework toward 2026 Annual Town Meeting warrant.
SHERBORN -- November 4, 2025, Sherborn Planning Board moves three-tier stormwater framework toward 2026 Annual Town Meeting warrant. The board reached consensus at its November 4 meeting on an administrative-minor-major tier structure for a new stormwater management and land disturbance bylaw, though members deferred setting specific acreage thresholds pending research into comparable towns including Carlisle, Harvard, and Stow. Conservation Agent Joyce and Town Planner Heidi presented the framework, noting that Conservation Commission's existing $70 administrative approval process could absorb the lowest tier. The board set a December target for draft warrant language, with the annual town meeting tentatively placed April 28, 2026. A proposed sign bylaw overhaul was deferred to a comprehensive zoning review, with member Jim Guarino volunteering to survey downtown businesses on lit signs and sandwich board enforcement. The attorney general's deadline to rule on the town's ADU and MBTA bylaws was five days away at the time of the meeting.
