Dover-Sherborn School Committee Approves $2 Million Capital Plan for High School Roof
SHERBORN — November 4, 2025 — Dover-Sherborn Regional School Committee unanimously approved a $2 million FY27 capital placeholder, anchored by a high school roof restoration project. Business Manager Dawn amended her own proposal upward from $1.75 million at Tuesday's meeting, telling the four-member panel she had reconsidered overnight: "I slept on it and I just think it's safer to go up to a higher number." The six-year capital plan also includes Lindelof HVAC replacements in FY28, parking lot repaving around FY29-30, and boiler work in FY31. Dawn also flagged double-digit health insurance premium increases — 12.4 percent for the Medics plan and 11.9 percent for Harvard Pilgrim — against a 9 percent assumption built into the current-year budget, with some neighboring towns now projecting 14 percent for FY27. The committee separately approved three consent items, including an overnight field trip for the cross-country team to the divisional championship and a Harvard Model UN field trip for high school students.
