SHERBORN — The Sherborn Library Trustees unanimously approved a 25-year lease with the Sherborn Historical Society for $25 annual rent, with Chair Brian Connolly's motion contingent on confirmation of a hazardous-materials clause. In a separate unanimous vote, the board authorized up to $400 per person from the Richardson Fund to support two staff appreciation events: a luncheon for library staff entering Master of Library and Information Science programs and a summer reading wrap-up luncheon. Treasurer Frank Orlando successfully negotiated a reduction in the library's investment management fees with UBS, from 70 basis points to 50 basis points (40 basis points for accounts of $5 million or more).

The library's FY26 operating budget is tracking under budget.
