SHERBORN — Governance Task Force III recommends state financial review. The four-member task force, meeting via Zoom, is conducting a governance survey that has generated 57 responses and is seeking approximately $950 for mailing postcards with QR codes to all residents, modeling the effort on prior surveys that drew 473 to 483 responses each. The task force will recommend to the Select Board that the town request a Financial Management Review from the state Division of Local Services, resuming a review cycle last conducted in 2012.
The state DLS conducts reviews at no cost to the town and imposes no obligation to implement recommendations.
