Sherborn Select Board Finalizes FY27 Town Government Objectives
The Select Board has finalized its Town Government objectives for fiscal year 2027, part of a batch of administrative updates posted this week alongside news of a new Veterans Services Committee taking shape and a state senator's upcoming visit to town.

The Select Board posted its FY27 objectives for town government, outlining priorities for the coming fiscal year, according to the town's website. Town Hall also issued the Sherborn Hazard Mitigation Plan and a formal Purple Heart Town proclamation, both newly posted this week.
Officials are also standing up a new Veterans Services Committee, first announced in mid-July and still recruiting members. Separately, the Department of Public Works highlighted its recent installation of a depth gauge at Farm Pond, part of ongoing water-monitoring efforts, and the town is asking residents to weigh in on a new Communications Survey posted August 13. State Senator Becca Rausch is scheduled to hold a Farmer's Small Business Roundtable in town on September 25.
Town Hall also flagged a continuing water-quality issue: the public wells serving the Town Hall campus, including the library, police station and Community Center, previously exceeded the state's PFAS6 drinking water standard for the July through September 2023 period, a notice the town has kept posted as it works through remediation.

The Sherborn Library's summer reading program, "Plant a Seed, Read," continues through August 31, with a library event listed for August 31 at 2 p.m. closing out the summer season. The library also continues to seek two part-time Student Library Aides for the coming year.
