Sherborn hears school assessments rising $500,350 in regional budgets

Sherborn Advisory Committee reviews regional school budget; assessments rise $500,350. The panel heard that Dover-Sherborn Regional Schools' FY2027 operating budget increases $1.08 million (3.72%), with Sherborn's assessment rising $500,350 (4.24%). Superintendent Beth Molloy and Business Manager Dawn Fattore outlined staffing reductions, including 1.2 full-time equivalent general education positions, two guidance counselors, and 0.5 educational assistant position.

Sherborn also faces a new $1.125 million assessment for out-of-district special education placements now calculated at the regional level; Pine Hill's budget grows 1.43 percent as the elementary school restructures instructional time around core academic subjects.
