Sherborn Announces Well and Septic Climate Resiliency Workshop

Sherborn officials are hosting a workshop on climate resiliency and emergency preparedness for private wells and septic systems, giving homeowners guidance on protecting their water and wastewater infrastructure.

The town's News Flash system announced a "Climate Resiliency and Emergency Preparedness for Private Wells & Septic Smart Homeowners Workshop," aimed at helping residents understand how to safeguard their private wells and septic systems against climate-related disruptions. Details on timing and registration are available through the town's alert system.

Town Hall's meeting calendar shows a busy week ahead: the Recreation Commission and North Sherborn Water and Sewer District Commission meet Wednesday, August 5, followed Thursday, August 6, by a joint session of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Select Board, Planning Board, and Conservation Commission. The Government Task Force III convenes Friday, August 7.

The Sherborn Library's summer programming continues this week, with events listed for Wednesday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. The library's "Summer Reading 2026: Plant a Seed, Read" initiative remains underway through August 31. Summer hours remain in effect: Monday noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

COMING UP

The Planning Board holds a meeting and hearing on Tuesday, August 11. The Board of Health meets Wednesday, August 12, and the Capital Budget Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18. At the library, two events are scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
