The Sherborn Recreation Commission reviewed fall programming and facility updates under new Coordinator Maura Bennett.

Recreation Commission · Meeting of September 16, 2026

SHERBORN — The Sherborn Recreation Commission reviewed fall programming and facility updates under new Coordinator Maura Bennett. Chair Ed McGuire led the discussion as Bennett reported that coaches for tennis, T-ball, and flag football have cleared background checks, and Ed and Jim agreed to move forward with fall programs. The newly opened tennis and pickleball courts are experiencing strong resident use.

A lighting control system installation is pending, though Chair McGuire raised concerns about lighting coverage over the pickleball courts. Staff will post a position for field lighting management and address ongoing challenges at Laurel and Fessenden before next season.
