Planning Board prepares warrant articles for March town meeting

Planning Board · Meeting of March 17, 2026

SHERBORN — Planning Board preps March 21 town meeting with warrant articles unanimously approved by the Select Board after three public hearings. A minor punctuation correction must be made at the motions meeting. The board tackled new Massachusetts clean energy regulations covering solar, wind, and battery storage projects, effective July 1 with October 1 compliance required.

Sherborn cannot meet the deadline; the Select Board may serve as the required Local Government Representative. Robert Wolff volunteered to assist with battery storage and solar sections. The board also discussed a potential demolition review delay bylaw for historic properties, similar to those adopted by surrounding towns, citing several historic property losses in the past decade.
