Library Board approves three policy amendments; History Center project advances
Library Trustees · Meeting of February 24, 2026
Sherborn Library Board advances History Center and approves three policy amendments. The Board unanimously approved amendments to the Material Selection, Meeting Room, and Landscaping Gift Acceptance policies. The History Center project, a collaboration between the Library and Historical Society, moved forward after the town selected a contractor whose bid came $100,000 under budget, with substantial completion tentatively projected for June 17.
The Board also authorized library closure on March 23 for staff development and discussed the Library's emerging role as an emergency warming center during power outages, agreeing that additional planning with town emergency management is needed before formalizing the arrangement. Endowment assets total approximately $3.4 million as of January's end.
