Sherborn Library Trustees unanimously approved their June minutes and heard progress on the History Center renovation project, targeted for mid-September reopening. The Finance Subcommittee reported landscaping spending exceeded the town commitment by $3,300, and the projected FY 2027 endowment contribution of approximately $91,000 represents the largest year-over-year increase in town budget revenue. The FY 2026 budget came in $11,900 under budget due to personnel underspending.
Summer Reading registrations grew 16 percent to 583 participants, with child engagement up over 100 percent and teen engagement up approximately 75 percent. Chair Brian Connolly will pursue enhanced vacation benefits for key library staff as a retention strategy.
