DPW Completes Farm Pond Depth Gauge Installation

SHERBORN — The Department of Public Works completed a new depth gauge installation at Farm Pond, while the Sherborn Library canceled its Tuesday-night summer concert due to predicted rain.

The DPW installed a new depth gauge at Farm Pond, according to a News Flash post from the town, part of ongoing efforts to monitor water levels at the popular recreational site. The town's News Flash also announced a Farmer's Small Business Roundtable with state Senator Rausch scheduled for September 25, giving local farmers and small business owners a chance to raise concerns directly with the senator's office.

Results of Sherborn's 2026 Open Space and Recreation Plan Community Survey were also released this week, continuing to inform the town's long-range planning efforts around conservation land and recreational facilities.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Sherborn Library announced that its Summer Concert scheduled for July 29 featuring the band So Lucky has been canceled due to predicted rain. The library's summer programming continues under its "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading theme, with the facility operating under its posted summer hours: Monday noon-6 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday-Thursday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (Wednesday and Thursday), Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Board of Assessors meets Wednesday, July 29. The Personnel Board meets Thursday, July 30. The Select Board meeting previously scheduled to coincide with the Zoning Board of Appeals this week has been canceled. The Farmer's Small Business Roundtable with Senator Rausch is set for September 25.
