Council on Aging approves March minutes, outlines spring calendar

Sherborn Council on Aging board approves spring programming, launches dementia-friendly community initiative. The board unanimously approved the March 31 minutes at its April 28 meeting, with Chair Pete Hoagland, Vice Chair Sally Tipton, Gerri Hawn, Tom Urmston, Pam Sampson, and Secretary Lori Howe in attendance. Director Kristina Gallant outlined spring events including a Mediterranean Diet presentation on May 5, an "Abigail Adams and the Daughters of Liberty" reenactment on June 4, and a Wellness Retreat on June 23.

The COA and staff developed a Dementia Friendly Town initiative with online training for town boards and staff, and the organization received its final Formula Grant payment with plans to purchase new laptops for aging equipment.
