Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 2, 2026

Sherborn Conservation Commission approved two residential projects near wetland areas. The commission unanimously voted to close hearings and approve a proposal by Douglas Ely to expand his lawn and driveway at 28 Lake Street, with mitigation requiring 645 shrubs and 9 trees planted across 7,300 square feet. Matt and Samara Brenton won approval for patio, deck, and pathway improvements at 55 Page Farm Road, with 103 square feet of native plantings to offset wetland impacts.

Conservation Agent Joyce Hastings required revised plans before work begins. The Farm Pond Advisory Committee is exploring alum treatment for phosphorus contamination in Farm Pond, though current plans emphasize community education over immediate treatment.
