Commission approves Washington Street duplex with buffer protections

SHERBORN — Conservation Commission votes to approve two duplex dwellings at Washington Street. The commission voted 5-0-1 to approve the project under the Wetlands Protection Act after applicant Bob Murchison agreed to enhanced buffer zone protections negotiated by Conservation Agent Joyce Hastings. The compromise included stabilizing the stormwater management area with conservation and wetland seed mix and installing four monuments to mark the lawn edge at the 212-foot contour elevation.
Two other major projects were continued to March 5, including a multifamily apartment complex at Coolidge Street and a septic system replacement at North Main Street.
