Sherborn Conservation Commission approved a major renovation at 179 Washington Street with extensive wetland buffer zone mitigation plantings. The commission voted unanimously to issue an Order of Conditions for the project, which includes demolition of the existing house, construction of a new residence with expanded footprint, removal of 26 trees, and installation of a replacement septic system and well. Conservation Agent Joyce Hastings calculated mitigation requirements totaling 182 native shrubs planted within the wetland buffer zone, plus 52 trees to offset tree removals.
The Commission also issued a negative determination with conditions for septic system grading at 168 Woodland Street within the 100-foot wetland buffer zone.
