SHERBORN — Capital Budget Committee splits on $2.2 million in capital appropriations on March 11. Approved unanimously were $672,551 (Sherborn's share) for regional high school roof renovation and $400,000 for Town Hall exterior work, among four other infrastructure investments. Chair Peter Moores dissented on two appropriations: $125,000 from the Capital Stabilization Fund for fire and police station feasibility work, citing funding source concerns, and $12,000 for Laurel Field irrigation equipment, with members Coralinda Lincoln and Nora Lynch Smith supporting both.
The Recreation Commission withdrew its Jameson Field 2 request after bids came in at $600,000 to $700,000.
