SHERBORN — Capital Budget Committee approved $30,000 IT equipment capital request, postponing Farm Pond stormwater project vote. The committee voted 3-0 for Dell workstations and HP laptops through vendor CDWG; IT director Klaus Ullman reported phone system and AV system upgrades were complete with server replacement work ongoing. The Farm Pond project vote was delayed pending an updated cost estimate for the $200,000 stormwater improvement aimed at capturing and treating runoff while preventing beach erosion; a Stantec estimate from February 2024 was $196,952.
Public comment from Cath Rocchio of the Farm Pond Advisory Committee and former lifeguard Margo Powicki supported the project. The committee learned Elder Housing elevator request was postponed to next fiscal year and Police vehicle pricing remained under negotiation.
