Board of Assessors reviews 2027 budget, assessing software options

Sherborn Board of Assessors plans software update as town boosts staffing hours. The Board reviewed the FY 2027 budget January 29, finding the parcel maintenance line currently allocated $4,000 while Building Inspector Chris Canney recommended $5,148. The town is creating a part-time Director of Assessing position at 24 hours per week and increasing administrative assistant Amy Hatch Davidson's hours to 24 hours.

Board Chair Kevin Rudden, MAA recommended that the Board, Assessors staff, IT, and the Collector provide a task list for vendor software demonstrations; the software update will be funded from Free Cash.
