Sherborn's Board of Health voted unanimously to set compliance benchmarks for a failing septic system at 155 Maple Street. The Board required submission of a replacement plan by August 31, 2026, and installation by December 31, 2026, for the three-year-old system. Health Agent Mark Oram had expressed concern that Colonial Engineering did not appear to appreciate the urgency of the matter, noting the system is located in high groundwater adjacent to a pond and wetlands.
Co-Chair Julie Dreyfus warned that failure to meet the August 31 deadline would require the Board to evaluate further enforcement options.
